Third Test: Pakistan needs 210 more runs to avoid an innings defeat

The national team is struggling to avoid defeat against England in the Southampton Test.

Due to rain, the game was affected once again and only 56 overs could be bowled on the fourth day.

Following on the fourth day of the third Test at the end of the game, Pakistan have scored 100 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in their second innings and have to score another 210 runs to avoid an innings defeat.

National team captain Azhar Ali is on the crease with 29 and Babar Azam with 4 runs.

In the first innings, the host England had given a target of 583 runs in response to which the national team was bowled out for 273 runs.

After England’s follow-on, Pakistan started their second innings to make up for the loss of 310 runs. England got their first victory at 49 runs when Shaun Masood scored 18 runs and was dismissed by Chris Broad.

Abid Ali also returned to the pavilion with 42 runs on a total score of 88, he was dismissed by James Anderson.

Keep in mind that England has a 1-0 lead in the three-Test series and the national team will have to face the English bowlers tomorrow to avoid a 0-2 defeat.
