Sachin names biggest threat for India ahead of Australia Test series

Fans are eagerly waiting to watch the Border Gavaskar Trophy series between Australia and India as the day-night pink-ball affair will commence on December 17 at Adelaide Oval. Meanwhile, former cricketers, cricket experts are picking up their own playing XI, opening combination and so on.

India and Australia have their own share of problems. The hosts are facing opening conundrum because David Warner and Will Pucovski have picked up injuries. Warner sustained a groin injury during the limited-overs series against India.

On the other hand, Pucovski sustained a concussion injury after being hit on the helmet off Kartik Tyagi’s bouncer. Meanwhile, former Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar has named biggest threat for India ahead of Australia Test series.

Ahead of the Test series, Sachin warned Virat Kohli & Co of three key players in Australia. The legend further added that the current Australian team is much stronger.

“From the last time that Australia played India they have got three important players. They have got Warner who is back in the team, Smith and (Marnus) Labuschagne,” Tendulkar told AFP.

“This is a far better squad compared to the earlier one. When a couple of your senior members are not there, suddenly that void is felt and that is what Australia felt,” Sachin added.

The former cricketer also added that India’s bowling attack will also confront Australia. “Every era should be kept separate, I don’t like comparing,” he said, when asked if this was the strongest attack India has produced. But I can say that it (India) is a complete bowling attack. So it doesn’t matter what kind of surface you are playing on, you have got all sides covered.

You have got bowlers who can swing the ball. When it comes to variations and awkwardness, that is also there. Someone hitting the deck hard is also there. We have got a wrist spinner, we have got finger spinners.”
