Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar can cause plenty of headaches for batsmen with his ability to swing the ball prodigiously both ways at pace.  He first made himself known playing for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket when good form thrust him into the sights of the India selectors. He wasted no time when he was selected for his one-day international debut in December 2012 and took a wicket with his very first ball. Kumar has best ODI figures of 4-8 against Sri Lanka in 2013.  Kumar made his Test debut against Australia in February 2013 and was particularly impressive when he picked up a six-wicket haul against England. He is a handy batter in India’s lower order and scored an unbeaten 63 in a Test in July 2014, while he also has a first-class century to his name.

He took a wicket with his first ball in one-day international cricket, dismissing Pakistan’s Mohammad Hafeez.
