Only Domingo coming among coaches for Bangabandhu T20 Cup

Bangabandhu T20 Cup will start from November 24 in Mirpur. For the first time, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is organizing a big T20 tournament with only local cricketers.

The head coach of the national team Russell Domingo will also analysis the performance of the players on the field in this tournament.

This T20 Cup is an ideal opportunity to select the best T20 performers from the top players of the country. Two consecutive T20 World Cups in the next two years. West Indies national team will come to Bangladesh in January. In the series against the Caribbean, there will also be multiple T20 matches. Before that, the selectors as well as the head coach have to keep an eye on the in-form players. That’s why Domingo is coming to Bangladesh to fulfill his responsibility.

Domingo, however, will not be on the field on the opening day. According to BCB sources, he will arrive in Dhaka on November 25 at 9 am, the day after the start of the tournament. But he will need the coronavirus negative certificate to enter in the field.

5 teams will take part in Bangabandhu T20 Cup. The coaches of the teams are also final. Domingo’s job at the President’s Cup was to observe the players. He’ll serve the same service in the T20 cup also. But he’ll have to do it alone because no more coaches coming. The rest of the foreign coaches, including pace bowling coach Otis Gibson, will be watching the tournament from online.
