Nick Larkin absolutely steals a single in BBL

Perth Scorchers are the most successful franchise in the history of the Big Bash League as they won two titles to their name. Sydney Sixers were the winners of the previous edition of the BBL. Now, the 10th edition of the Australian-based franchise tournament has kick-started only recently.

The league had so much drama right from the word go. The players from the franchises have been doing what they are supposed to do i.e. hit sixes, take wickets, catches and fielding efforts. During the BBL match between Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunder, the rarest incident happened.

During the game, Nick Larkin tried to play a sweep shot off Daniel Sams’ bowling. While doing so, the ball went inside his jersey in the follow-through. Larkin thought he hit the ball somewhere down the ground and was searching the ball. However, with no time left, he had to go back to the non-striker’s end to complete the single.

Soon after that, players were thinking where the ball might have been. But by the time Larkin made to the other end, he had realised that the ball was inside his jersey. In what was a once in a blue incident, the batsman stole a single without knowing that he had the ball with himself.

The video of which spread like wildfire across social media platforms. KFC Big Bash League posted the video on their official Twitter handle. Nobody really expected this type of incident. Larkin must be really lucky to have stolen a cheeky single.
