Mushfiqur Rahim nearly hits Nasum Ahmed on field

Mushfiqur Rahim once again came under fire for his shameful behaviour during Bangabandhu T20 Cup. Instead of leading by example, the senior cricketer set a bad example by almost hitting his teammate Nasum Ahmed on the cricket field.

The incident happened during the match between Beximco Dhaka and Fortune Baridhal. During Fortune’s batting, they were rushing at the fag end of the overs as they required 45 off 19 balls.

Hossain who was in good touch with the bat tried to hit a big shot off the last ball. But while doing so, he ended up hitting the ball high up in the air.

Beximco captain and wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim had his eyes on the ball. While he was about to take the catch, there came a distraction in between his path.

Although he took the catch in safe hands, Nasum Ahmed collided with his captain. The fast bowler Nasum Ahmed clearly had no idea what was going on when Rahim showed his full anger towards him.

Later on, he realised that Mushfiqur had already got there before him to take the catch. Fortunately, Rahim didn’t drop the catch after Nasum collided with him. Luckily, both the players escaped from a nasty incident.

However, his partner went about his business and scored 54 off 43 balls including 3 fours and 2 sixes. Akbar Ali played his part in the end by scoring a quick-fire 21 off 9 balls. He hit 3 fours and a six. Rahim’s team posted 150/8 in their quota of 20 overs.

Mehidy Hasan and Kamrul Islam picked up 2 wickets each for Fortune Barishal. In reply, Tamim Iqbal’s team were restricted to 141/9 in 20 overs. Afif Hossain top-scored with 55 off 35 (3 fours, 4 sixes). Muktar Ali and Shafiqul Islam picked up 3 wickets apiece.
