Dockrell pulls out of Bangladesh tour

Ireland Wolves captain George Dockrell and head coach Pete Johnston have withdrawn their names from upcoming tour of Bangladesh.

Ruhan Pretorius has been named as Dockrell’s replacement while Graham Ford and Stuart Barnes will be coaching the touring side.

“We completely respect the decision of George not to opt in, and fully understand Pete’s decisions based around family circumstances. The playing and coaching group have been busy preparing for the trip in line with COVID protocols, and we look forward to a competitive month of cricket ahead,” said Ireland selector Andrew White.

Ireland Wolves will leave for Bangladesh on Wednesday to play one four-day match, five one-dayers and two T20s over the coming days.
